Just watched the remake and thought it was purdy good. It's been so long since I've seen the original that I can't make a fair comparison. I liked Bridges and Damon was ok.

No, it's beyond terrible.

It might, I repeat might, pass as a bad "B" movie if there had never been an original.

.....loved the original,........maybe that's the reason I've skipped watching the remake when channel-surfing,......but if Matt Damon dies in the remake (like glen Campbell did)....I might give it a try.

The remake wasn't awful or anything, but wasn't special in any way.
In fact it was just a big rip off of the original.
Every single character in the original far exceeded anyone in the remake.

There really is no comparison in the 2 movies at all.
If the first one had never been made then the 2nd one might stand a chance.
But it doesn't.

Nothing wrong with watching it except you are constantly comparing it to the original in your mind constantly
