no, you have to refresh. Normally I just click the "user cp" link and it will show you active threads (topics) that you are involved in. If they are dark blue, there will be new post.

yea, that was slick on her part. My first thought was, "that bitch just covered her eyes!" Then I realized what she was doing. I had watched some show on stunt drivers and they would do that just before impact.
