He had tough innings in the 3rd and 4th, some hits, some walks, lots of pitches.

Oh my god!!! He gave up 2 runs!!!! He's the worst pitcher ever!!! Your starters are there to get you deep in the game as possible. You don't pull a guy because he gets a little wild and has to work out of trouble. You pull him when it is clear he can no longer get out of trouble.

okay i get your point but he's obviously struggling but we're still in the game. but it looks like Wash is looking at pulling him after 5, he has Gonzalez warming up

It's nice to have a deep enough pen to be able to pull a starter after 5 innings and still have confidence that you're going to win the game.

Now you pull him But I'm glad they got the extra few outs from him. Now the bullpen needs to do its job.

why is everyone looking for the cheaper route? having a player like Murphy available to step in is more important than going cheaper. do we want more Gentry's & Chavez's?

No....but I also think it will be tough to keep Murphy in the end because he's slightly better than a "4th outfielder". On a middle of the road team on down murph is good enough to start and one of those teams will eventually give him more money. That's just how I see it.

Thank you for taking my sarcasm well. The nice thing is that the pen is so well rested. If they can't hold this it won't be because they've been overworked.

Just turned the game on. Looks like Washington decided Harrison was on a very short leash for the 6th. I didn't get to see him pitch. Obviously not as good as his last outing but I think I would still feel good about him going forward.

Gonzalez is a little wild.
