Trevor Plouffe trade value

The Twins have Miguel Sano starting to light up AA and is considered their thirdbaseman of the future. (Although some think he should move to a corner OF spot). Assuming the Twins plan on letting him play third, they could trade Trevor Plouffe. Plouffe was a 4 WAR player last year and is ahead of that pace again this year. His defense at third grades out well. He's under team control for 2 more years after this season.

What do you think he could get back in a trade or would the Twins be better off keeping him and moving Sano to the OF?

Hard to see much value in a guy who's pushing 30 with a career average under .250. If he would have hit for power in more than one season it'd be different.

He's a nice cheap player. Maybe if he were packaged with one of those "prospects" the Twins could get a starter with a fastball.

They probably could get something considerable for Plouffe. Lot of teams in need of a 3B right now.

Plouffe in the outfield would be lol and his batting upside at 30 would be comical.

We already have Hicks, Rosario and Arica. That's withoit including the obvious Buxton.

And who knows with how Tori is swinging he may be back.

Plouffe is great for us this year and turning into a big trade piece.

O yeah he ain't getting moved til Sano is ready no question about that.

When Buxton and Sano do get here though(Sano will not be an OF) we are going to have an even bigger positional logjam then we have now.

Plouffe seems to be really helping his stock the last two years and I think he could be a good trade piece many teams would want...but thats down the road. We need Trevor big time right now.
