Redskins coach Jay Gruden said rookie end Johnathan Allen is working mostly with the second and third units, but will get time with the starters as camp unfolds. Gruden said, "Everything we've seen so far has been what we thought."

Not sure the Skins have ever picked such a sure thing since Art Monk and Darrell Green. Maybe Samuels? Nate Sudfeld?

I'd be tempted to sign Lucky Whitehead - even if we don't need him. You know he'd break a return or 2 against the Cowboys. It probably makes sense to lighten Crowder's ST's load...

Hard to picture Harris as much of a kick returner.

Trying to not drink 1st day practice kool-aid on Josh Doctson or D.J. Swearinger but it looks so delicious

I'm trying to chill out as well but, Crowder is going to have a great season. I don't see how you can leave Doctson or Pryor 1-on-1 once you get passed the 50.

Gallette, Doctson, Pryor, Allen, Anderson, Fuller, Roullier, and the surprise to me was Chris Carter. Saw him causing a lot of pressure.

these guys had good opening days as well , good to see fuller and roullier on that list

Two players who stood out Wednesday: receivers Terrelle Pryor and Josh Doctson. Pryor consistently created separation on comebacks by getting out of his break quickly. Doctson got off the line well, ran good routes -- with good stems -- to get free. A strong first day for both.
