So basically nothing..Dorsett is a decent player but similar to Ryane Clowe really..Rags are doing some weird things.

Side trade - Bishop to Tampa for Cory Conacher..love that trade for both teams.

Bishop goes to his what seems to be 5th team in 2 years..why cant this kid stick? He's really good.

As somebody stated, this gameplan by Sather of swapping lineups with the Blue Jackets doesn't seem like a good idea.

Well looks like we're standing pat. Get well soon Kovy.

Apparently Steve Sullivan for a 7th round pick. Not sure how much he has left in the tank or if he'll helpl, but for a 7th it can't hurt. Contract is up after this year so low risk move.

Did he win a Cup in Pittsburgh? We traded him to Toronto for Gilmour?

As far as I know he still has wheels. We could use more speed up front and if he can still pot a few that would be awesome. As far as I know he's never won a cup so hopefully he goes all out in a last ditch effort to get one.

I also heard Drew Stafford and Mason Raymond's names thrown out there in Devils related rumors. I would've taken either of those guys in a heartbeat.

Supposedly there is a big rumor involving Ryan Miller and Drew Stafford going to Washington.

Who knows what kinda legs that has but interesting and probably puts the Caps in the playoffs.

I like it. He can certainly help on the PP, is a reliable all around player (abeit a small one) who still has some Offensive skill....was almost free....and probably wants one last good hurrah!

Plus i liked him back in the day....

I remember being pissed when we traded him for Doug Gilmour. I agree he's not quite what I was hoping for but it's not a bad move. If he sucks, we lost a 7th and he's gone at the end of the year.

Mostly a boring trade deadline.
I think its because lots of teams feel they are still in it to make the playoffs. Over a longer season, the standings are more spread out usually, and better chance of selling good to star level talent.

I think the Jackets did well. If the first round pick they got from NY turns out to be a lottery, that team can turn it around I think.

Wow! Steve Sullivan! THAT was our big move for a scorer? Was hoping to have my confidence re-inspired but that seems like another "reach into our past just to say I did something" move and im with his lack of size and age won't help ONE BIT. If he was so good, why did we trade him for an aging Doug Gilmour back in 97 because we didn't have enough reliable scorers? So why would we trade for him 16 years later? Am so sick of Lamoriello's lack of intelligence when it comes to handling players/contracts. Can;t wait til he fucking retires.
