We seem to love reclamation projects, and for the right price, perhaps it is worth a shot.
Trade 1 of our 5th round picks to SF for Rueben Foster. They get rid of their criminal, and get some kind of compensation instead of just releasing him. We get a head case, and potential locker room idiot (not sure how he is in the locker room), but he is given a second chance on life and leaves a large city for a more quiet midwest life style. Granted, plenty of things to get in trouble with here in Ohio, but maybe the second chance and the smaller market could prompt him to take life more serious.
It is a calculated risk for us, so I would certainly understand people not being interested, especially since we would be taking on his 1st round contract. However, you are also attaining a guy that was one of the best line backers in the country just a little over a season ago. Lots of potential if he could turn things around.
