Tough schedule

I know we have one more against the Cubs and Im not trying to look too far ahead, but this week is going to be tough facing the Cardinals and Rays. I hope for a split with STL and 2 out of 3 with the Rays. What do you guys see as realistic? Also Az is on a pretty tough schedule right now themselves so hopefully we dont lose too much ground this week.

I think we will do just fine we got our best SP in the STL series Greinke,Kersahw,Nolasco,Ryu..should be a fun series i think you're correct we might split I'm ok with that STL & Dodgers always split games...& Tampa i think we will destroy them! But 1 st let win tomorrow & go up 5 1/2 we should be good...oh yea & fuck AZ!!

Yeah I do like how Don went to a 6 man so we would have Greinke in the Cards series. You know how I feel about Don Lalakersboy so if im giving him credit he has earned it. Both series will be hard but yes we need to get greedy and sweep the Cubs. I love having a 4 1/2 game lead right now as we need a cushion going into this week.

I agree with you on that. We gotta get through this tough stretch and hope that Arizona keeps on losing. At least we are in the position where we just need to take care of our own business.

A split in St. Louis would be okay, but I think the Dodgers have the ability to take 3 games from the Cards. We have the pitching to hold the Cardinals in check and a revitalized offense to score runs.

2 of 3 from the Rays is doable as well. The Dodgers have some tough games coming up, but this is a hot Dodgers team, so I have to be optimistic.

I see your point Silas. I would love 3 out of 4 from the Cards but was just thinking its more realistic for a split. These games will be fun to watch this week though.

I'll be happy with a split in St. Louis no doubt, especially if it's without Hanley

Hanley tumbled into the stands after catching a pop up . He jammed his shoulder. MRI set for Monday.

After this stretch, the remaining schedule is not very daunting. 3 with the Red Sox and 3 at the Reds then it's basically all division and teams below .500. This team will have the opportunity to put the division away in early September.

I hope we put the division away and are able to rest our starters for the playoffs.
