Who does everyone think are the best front 7s in the league?

My list

1. Seattle
2. Philly
3. Denver
4. Giants
5. Panthers

Anyone think someone else should be on this list and who would you replace?

Texans and Rams are two teams that could/should be on the list. Maybe Vikings moving forward. I think the top 2 is correct for sure.

Yeah Texans, especially if Watt comes back healthy, should be in the discussion.

The Rams are such a wild card. I always think they SHOULD be much better but they too often fade away if teams can neutralize Donald.Certainly in the discussion though. You could argue that they should be put above the Panthers.

Denver's D had some serious holes last year against the run. They did get a lot of pass pressures but also blitzed a lot, too, so some of that is a function of how good their secondary is. They certainly wouldn't be in my top 5 if we're just going off last year but Id imagine they'll be better this year.

Giants front 7 was outside of the top 10 in PFF, IIRC.

I could see KC and Hou in there over Denver or NYG.

The list looks good. I agree that the Texans should be on it though. With JJ Watt they are arguably the best IMO.

The LBs are suspect, IMO. Their DL is excellent.

Huzzah fer Carolina's front 7, but that Secondary is going to keep them out of the playoffs again

Eagles' D-line is good and deep, but their lack of depth at LB is a major concern. If they get injuries there, they're in trouble.

I still can't believe we got Sheldon Richardson, how the @#^ did Pete and John pull that off... Avril, Bennett, Richardson, Reed, Clark, and possibly McDowell later in the year, that's a question mark though... BUT DAM that's ridiculous... As long as they stay healthy that's gonna be tough to deal with ....

I would say this Front-7 looks much different compared to last year though. The Broncos brought in guys like Kerr and Peko. Not huge names but some big boys at 330 lbs. to help in the run game. Crick added about 15 lbs of muscle during the offseason. Said last year he played part of the season at 275 lbs. He is up close to 300 this year. Wolfe put on some weight and Gotsis is the guy they expect big things in year 2. So DL definitely different unit compared to last year.

Seahawks with the best front 7 is questionable at best.

They have two older DE's on the decline, two DT's that combined for 3 sacks and under 100 tackles after last year. Wagner is one of the best MLB's in the game, Wright is about average and Garvin would be a backup on many teams.

Other than Wagner nobody is a game changer especially with the old dudes at DE now.

Avril and Bennett are both 31

Another check in the "Dayne doesn't know what he's talking about" box.

5 starters that have been to at least one Pro Bowl.

Garvin is a situational player.

They also have Frank Clark who had 10 sacks as a backup last year.

But I'm not shocked to see you neg the Seahawks.

You could of course simply offer your list.

Pro bowl is a joke now and irrelevant for judging talent level.

Only one player on the front seven will be worthy of an all pro team selection and that's Wagner. The rest of the front seven will be lucky to acquire a single all pro vote.

I wasn't shocked with you going with the home pick to place Seattle first when the Texans have the best front seven.

Front 4 could be as good as any

LB corps has some real upside guys, but not one of the better corps in the league
