A lot closer than I would think. The two are almost equal at the plate with Dickey getting a slight edge IMO. The difference comes in D and D is way too important at Catcher to ignore, so Bench for me.

Given this format, I think only Piazza has any kind of chance to defeat Bench in this thing. Bench is considered the defensive GOAT and he had an elite bat. Only an elite bat can blind enough voters to ignore the D enough to steal a vote.

I don't agree, I know you are not high on Carter, but I think he has a chance... Yogi has a pretty good chance too...

Bench wins because of defense and longevity... Since offense was actually VERY close...
