This one sucks. Bell was an average player for the bulk of his career. He had a nice run from '80 to '84, but basically, that's it.

However, I have stick with my rule about the early guys. There is simply too much unknown about them.

Bell gets my vote, but I am holding my nose.

doesn't matter that Collins is a pre 1900 player... He had 3000 less PA, and had almost the identical OBP and slugging, there is not really any good reason to give Collins the nod here... Bell was arguably one of the best defensive 3B of all time too...
