It would be impressive if Okie Lite somehow stays ranked anywhere near that high.

They lose their starting QB, top 2 RBS, top 3 WRs, and their 3 best defensive players just for starters.

The heart and soul of this great Cowboys run for the last few years has been their ball hawking ability.

This senior class set an NCAA record with the most takeaways.

That is what has made their defense sneaky good despite average yardage totals.

I am not sure they can simply plug and play without Gilbert, Lowe, and a lot of the other seniors.

We will be very happy to see this truckload of OSU seniors get the heck out of the Big 12.


Gundy is a good coach. But, Oklahoma State is losing a ton. It is similar to what K-state lost in 2012.

Saban has shown he does not need much of a QB to win.

Saban has shown he does not need much of a QB to win.

To the contrary, his past 2 QBs have been perfect, and played perfectly for their system. If anything brings Bama down a notch, it will be that they get a QB who makes mistakes. As good as Saban is, at some point the odds are that they will miss on their QB recruiting one of these days. When you have the razor thin margin to get the NC game (or tourney), just a few mistakes here or there by the QB and it might be a different story.
