Never got the attraction to Vince Gill.

He's a hell of a songwriter and can play any stringed instrument. I saw him in Chattanooga a few weeks ago. He sounded the same on stage as he did on the radio. Nothing but him, two flattop guitars that he rotated playing and a microphone and he rocked the house.

Not even a mention for George Strait? Are you high?

I like George Strait, and he probably would have made the honorable mention list if he would have just stopped making new music after 2000.

For me personally, he was never the best of his time. He was at his best in the 80's, but Keith Whitley, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Waylon and Willie were all big in the 80's as well. The 90's belonged to Mark Chesnutt and Alan Jackson. He stopped trying after 2000.

I didn't make this list based on volume of songs or hits, just what I like right now.
I reserve the right to change this list at any time, probably tomorrow.
So many to choose from.

I'm the same way. Really, my top 3 are the only ones that stay constant. Radney Foster probably would have made the list just last week.

Love Marty Robbins.

Sonny James has a few songs that I like(Young Love, Running Bear), but I tend to lump him in with the group of country musicians from the 50's and 60's that I don't really care for(Jim Reeves, Eddie Arnold, Ray Price, Patsy Cline, etc)

I love Patsy Cline. My favorite female country artist.

I love Patsy Cline. My favorite female country artist.

You probably won't like my top 10 female artists list then. She was very influential and I can appreciate what she did, but I don't like her music.
