Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports that the Cubs have acquired Tommy Hunter in exchange for Junior Lake.
Hunter, who is a free agent after the season, holds a 3.63 ERA with 32 strikeouts over 44 2/3 relief innings this season. He'll help out the Cubs in a middle relief role. Lake is in the minors now but could get a look as an occasional corner outfielder.
