A's Bassitt to Mets

Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports that the Athletics will acquire J.T. Ginn and Adam Oller from the Mets in exchange for right-hander Chris Bassitt.​

Ginn, 22, ranked as the fifth best prospect in the Mets system according to MLB Pipeline. He registered a 3.03 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 81/22 K/BB ratio over 92 innings between Class-A St. Lucie and High-A Brooklyn during the 2021 season. Oller, a 27-year-old right-hander, did not rank among the Mets top 30 prospects. He posted a 3.45 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 138/47 K/BB ratio across 120 innings between Double-A Binghampton and Triple-A Syracuse in 2021.
