Yep. And I think Portland is gonna be a tough match up for you guys.

It should be entertaining.

But, the Clippers are 3-1 against the Blazers.

It was the best possible matchup.

They have a fantastic backcourt.

But, the Clippers frontcourt should kill them.

Our problems d don't start til round 2.

You do realize they're not only fighting with Memphis right? If Dallas win their final 2 and Portland lose their final game, Dallas is the 5th seed as they win the tiebreaker

FOUR TEAMS STILL AIM FOR NO. 6 IN WEST
Landing the sixth seed in the Western Conference playoff bracket means avoiding a first-round date with either the Warriors (72-9) or Spurs (65-15).

I would lean towards Clippers in 6 but I can see the Clips winning in 5 tight games.

Honestly I don't think any of the Clippers possible first round opponents should be able to win more than 2 games in a series and I think Clips would finish about all of them in 5 except maybe Portland. If the Griz were healthy, this first round would have been a war for the Clips

that's right, because Memphis is the team that will most likely keep GS from breaking the record. LOL

They control their own destiny.

But, they are not a lock for #5

Yes, I know but I was making a play on how you always say (insert team here) is the team that will have the "best" chance at knocking off the Warriors.

I think the most important point & difference is that they still control their own destiny.

But, since single only thing keeping me from openly sobbing, I think I'll hold onto it for now.

People forget about two major differences in the regular season and post season:

1) More time to game plan.
2) Shorter rotations with no back to backs.

Teams have much more time to dissect film on each opponents. Granted it does work both ways, but still teams are more prepared to play the Spurs or the Warriors than they were on a random night in February.

Teams also don't have to play deep into their rotation. A 5-8th seed has nothing to lose running their starters into the ground because they aren't expected to make the next round anyways. You'll see Dame and McCollum play 42 minutes a game if they have to. You'll see Dirk go for 40 minutes if his body allows it. There's no holding back.

For the Warriors, their depth serves them the most by keeping their stars fresher for the post-season and extended minutes. Prime example was last year in the finals, the Warriors basically went 7 deep in the final 3 games. It was Steph, Klay, Barnes, Draymond, Iguodala, Livingston, and Ezeli/Lee. There was a player or two who splashed maybe 3 minutes here or there.

Every team will shorten their rotations and you won't get to make some runs that you normally would against second units because of the extended minutes of the stars.

It really doesn't mean anything when it comes to playoffs matchups. The only thing that makes the regular season meaningful when it comes to the playoffs is HCA.

I've seen quite a few teams win a season series 3-0, 3-1, or 4-0 and lose in the playoffs. Playoffs is a different ball game.

Looks like you guys are right on the heels of OKC too. Would be interesting if they end up as the #3 seed. Would be flirting with possibly playing Memphis in that first round.

No thanks to Memphis.

Clippers are locked in @ #4.

Nothing to play for.
