Right, just seems like after his (BIG) rookie year they starting trending away from him. I know a few bronco fans and when Royal comes up the term under-utilized usually follows.

Most likely. Also this season now with Tebow in the WRs aren't getting much action.

James Anderson had a pick in the Carolina game yesterday just in case anyone hadn't heard

I really don't care about the whole fascination or debate about how good/bad he is, but I hadn't seen Tebow play at all, not really even that much from college, until yesterday.

I get it now. Wow. Seeing him throw the ball, then watching any other QB throw (vs. Rivers especially, since I watched that game intently due to FFL implications) couldn't be anymore stark. It's like watching a pitcher throw from the wind-up vs. a pitcher from the stretch.

On every pass Tebow looked like he was throwing a 70-yard hail mary. He makes a football look like it weighs 30 lbs. With Rivers it was like his arm didn't go back beyond his ear. Even on the long throws he has very little wind-up and the ball was there with some zip.

Say what you will about him being a leader/winner/anointed by God... I get why people are giving him a really hard time about being a QB now. Never saw it until yesterday.

A shame Brandon Flowers didn't get a pro bowl bid. I would have easily taken him over Champ Bailey this year

AB reports that Boykin and Coale have been invited to the combine with DW and Jayron likely to follow. Great new, I think this greatly increases their chances of getting drafted (particularly Coale) if they show well.

Danny Coale wasn't invited to the Combine. Danny Coale allowed the Combine to be graced with his awesomeness.

DC will get a spot on an NFL roster. Great football smarts, good route runner, great hands, 4.4 speed. Look for a team like NE to get him late or as a FA

Great news on DE, hope he gets to crack the 53 man roster in 2012.

I never understood why he didn't crack the lineup last year. Their RBs were dreadful (though Carter looked ok at times). When DE played in their preseason games, he did pretty well despite not getting many touches. Oh well. Maybe their new coach will see a use for him. Sometimes I wondered if Jim Caldwell was even alive on the sidelines

You have to realise that some preseason games are completely meaningless. I mean Nate Davis was awesome in preseason yet he was winging it because of his learning disability.

I'm hoping with a full preseason DE can get in the mix and at least make the roster.

Irsay may be cleaning house, but he decided to keep one young guy on the team:

Colts sign practice squad RB Evans, ex-CFL LB Freeman - Indianapolis Colts - CBSSports.com RapidReports

Great news for DE and his family, all awesome people!!!

I was thinking about him earlier today. I think if he had stayed things would be a lot different (not that I fault or resent him for going). For one, we would have been more effective in the redzone with more of a bruiser, who could get tough, short yards. Also, Wilson would not have been given so many carries, and probably wouldn't have an NFL caliber resume, so would probably be staying another year.

Great news for DE. This benefits VT as well. The come april we will have our last 3 RBs in the NFL. That is a good selling point for RB recruits.

According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, former Hokie and Pittsburgh Steeler Bruce Arians didn't just retire on his own. The Steelers chose not to keep him as their OC. He then chose to retire instead of looking for another job. Pittsburgh wants to go back to a run oriented team whereas Arians had made them a pass happy team under Big Ben.

IMO, that's a mistake by the Steelers. I know Arians said he's retiring but I hope Beamer gives him a call to see if he'd like to be an "offensive adviser" or something.
