Davie does get picked on but we need to apply more presse up the middle on the QB.

Bankers defense gives up big plays on 3rd and long, we just can't have that we have to be able to get our defense off the field in those situations.

alright, so it wasn't just me on the audio cutting out, sometimes i think it's my satellite, but sounds like others had the issue. guess as someone else said, some intern was probably stepping on a cable in the BTN broadcast truck.

during the game they showed a stat, the last time Nebraska pitched a shutout in the first half was Purdue in 2013. Bo was notorious for giving up early points, "they didn't know what to expect from the other teams offense and needed to adjust." what a bunch of crock. glad to see such a good first half from the defense especially without 2 starters.

as far as Davie, he was lucky he wasn't flagged more often for either holding or PI, he was constantly getting jersey in his hands. i think Kalu and Rose are the best 2 CBs, they are listed as the OR on the other side of the field from Davie, but wouldn't be surprised to see that change. the problem i think is that Kalu drops down to the slot for nickel, doesn't he? Jones didn't look half bad, thought it was interesting that he came in for Davie, when Trai Mosley is listed behind Davie on the Depth Chart.

at the beginning of season we thought DB was our strength but right now, it just seems like a weakness. part of it is the lack of pressure from our D-line so they have to stay in coverage too long. i don't watch them that closely during the game, but they just don't seem physical enough on the outside. hope they get it figured out.

I can't remember the last time we didn't have a false start penalty. I think we only had 1 holding penalty also.

Good points all around! I wonder how the players are adjusting this year to not getting screamed at by the Bloviator and never being good enough in his eyes. I am willing to bet they really like the new coaching staff. Finally, Daniel Davie for 4th string.

Except for the TD play that was called back where he fell down, from where I was it looked like Davie had good coverage on those plays, he just needs to learn to make a play on the ball/disrupt the pass. Two of those big plays at least went right over his shoulder. Hopefully that is something that can be fixed with coaching. He got picked on a lot last night.

I remember the audio cutout trick in another Nebraska game from BTN last year I think. Their HD broadcasts aren't as good as some of the other channels either.
