we be 11-0 when TM rushes for at least 70 yards

It makes sense. When you have a QB that can run, and a running back that can run hard like Rex, it completely puts a defense back on their heels.

I will literally shit myself if Taylor has 70+ yards rushing against Michigan State.

Will not shit myself over 70 yards. Will shit myself if Taylor goes all K-State on their asses and goes for 300 though.

Denard Robinson has had rushing performances of 108, 198, 200, 117, and 42 this season...........care to guess who the 42 was against?

The only one I didn't add in to that mix was the game he rushed for 51 yards......because it was against Minnesota and he only got 6 rushing attempts in that game beings that the backups played the majority of the time for Michigan. That was still good enough for an 8.5 yard per play average of course.

Robinson has the ability to juke and make people miss that Taylor doesn't have. That scares me that they were able to shut him down like that.

Looking at that box score...........Notre Dame didn't beat Michigan State, the Spartans beat themselves in that one. How the score ended up so lopsided is a complete mystery. You hold a team to 275 total yards and they manage to put 31 points on the scoreboard??? WOW.

Penalties and turnovers was the name of the game in that matchup.

And as BRS pointed out, look at the rushing statistics. Michigan State is not very good up front............we need to make sure we use that to our advantage.

I think it depends on whether Cotton and Co have the big uglies working that weak ass zone blocking, or if they are playing real football and actually blocking someone.

i have decided that this game will come down to one thing. now i know you may be thinking "jesus chuck you always say it comes down to him" but i believe that rex bulkhead is THE key to this game. since his freshman year he has consistently gotten yardage for us like no other. he is the offense's only TRUE consistency. the kid is unbelievable honestly

This is true, but don't forget about our immature QB. If he limits his interceptions and bad pitches to zero, or very close to zero, that will increase Nebraska's chance to win also.

Absolutely Rex is gonna have to come out and run hard right from the get-go. Rex's ability to run opens Taylor's ability to run which opens the play action pass.

Offensively, it's on Rex to fight for some good yardage and get Sparty back on it's heels.

Defensively, shutting down the running game shouldn't be difficult, beings that every other team in the country has done it. So, if we can do that, we should be able to get some pressure Cousins and force him to make some bad decisions.

There are a lot of factors that will lead to our success. I say it all starts up front on both sides of the ball.
