i've been searching on youtube since i asked this question and i can't find the tribute video anywhere...that is unfortunate because it was an incredibly emotional scene. even at the age of 6, i was able to recognize how important that was.

It was not. If I were to guess, that song came out later. if you guys need some hints, the singer is a woman. i can elaborate more if need be.

It was actually written before his death. Brook was good friends with Mark Miller of the band and asked him to write a song for the national championship celebration. It was never sang because of his death and Mark Miller decided to make a tribute to Brooke instead.

dammit, i didnt even follow the huskers when Brook died but holy shit is that video hard to watch.

i never even got to see him play but ever since i learned about Brook i've wanted to go to Goodland...i shoulda gone this past week while i was driving up to NE but we were kinda on a schedule and its WAY out of the way

to get this moving, 1217 gets the correct answer with celine dion. it was this song (i know the video isn't too cool, but with the video they matched it with when they played it at the stadium it had all 86000 in tears:
