I wish. That's the only weekend we can all get together for XMas so I'll be at my parents. My brother and I are taking our oldest boys to a game later in the season. Just not sure which one.

Yea, that is definitely an interesting one. Northwestern is always like that, though. It's their brains. When they see matchup issues that they can exploit, they're like mosquitoes in a swamp. You just can't get rid of them.

Got Iowa/Iowa St tonight. You can tell Iowa is a young team. They get a lead of around 9 and just when you think they might pull away, they fuck up and Iowa St pulls within 5

Just got over aggressive/sloppy. We still won by 9 with Marble having a subpar game. He only had 6pts on 2-10 from the floor. But White had 18p 7r and our other Fr PG had 14p and 8a. We'll be up and down all year but by B1G tourney time, we could be dangerous.

Yeah, he's been off for the past 2-3 games. He's just pressing. When he relaxes and drives, he's hard to stop. A 6'7" combo with decent handles and a soft touch when he pulls up is a great thing to have.

Honestly, we won't have an answer for it. Ryan Evans will probably be on him, and he's solid, but it could be tough for him.

This year will be decent. Next year is the year. The only player we lose is May, and he sucks. We bring in Peter Jok

who is finally getting healthy after some unfortunate knee issues and Uthoff will be eligible. Plus, Kyle Meyer (6'10" PF) will be off of his redshirt and looks to be good. The future of Iowa bball is looking great. At least we have that going for us.

I'm really not looking forward to seeing any of those guys next year. Uthoff is one thing, but yea, the Hawkeyes are looking like a deep program. The whole, "Bo does more with less" thing gets a little old sometimes. I know he's a great coach, but I'll never forget Jon Leur going cold in the tournament and watching NOBODY step up. The other guys were literally afraid to shoot because they're not really allowed most of the time. That's a problem when your big guns need to reload.

^ Where I was going with that also is that I don't think he really likes to recruit anyone with a strong personality. I think he sees it as cockiness, and writes guys off instantly.

I can see that. We go through the 'more with less' shit with KF. People put up with it because we win once in a while and he sends a lot of people to the NFL. I'm getting tired of it though.

Yup. And the success just made them go more extreme/set in their ways. If Devin Harris were on this basketball team now, there is no way Bo would tolerate him running point the way he did in 2003. Bo Ball as a basic set of ground rules is great, but it got old watching the guys get stuck in half court, passing the ball around, when everyone KNEW the ball was going back out to Taylor. There is a certain point when creativity is a good thing...Bo.

Still. He'll develop this current roster. They'll be a threat in the B1G tourney.

I knew it was coming. After Hummell, Moore, and Johnson, they didn't have a whole lot. Painter is a good coach but I don't know how is at recruiting. He should have been able to keep the momentum going after 4 very good years in a row.

It sucks how Hummell's career went. I don't want to see Purdue win, but it would have been sort of fun to see him rip it up in the tourney a bit more.

As for the Badgers. I think they're going to get better. They lost to Marquette on Saturday by 10, but they also gave the ball away 10 times in the first half. They'll clean it up. Unless they can't hit free throws, which was kind of a problem Saturday.
