We could also do what we see fit and not worry so much about what others are doing. Especially if it's something quiet and non disruptive.I guess the easy answer is to remove the playing of the national anthem at sporting events, but I for one just think it's one of the few ways we can hono(u)r the men and women who paid the ultimate price in order for us to have the freedoms that we enjoy today.

Yeah, I know. And it may never have been the state of the world.I don't have a problem with that approach, unfortunately that's not the current reality/state of the world today. Whether people officially state their objections or do it more covertly, these type of actions will rub people the wrong way. Just look at what's happened to Kaepernick, there's no way he shouldn't be on a NFL roster today.

This may be a somewhat unpopular opinion, but I'd rather not do the anthems at all, but not because of what it stands for (no pun intended) but rather because I think that it's one of those things that is losing meaning because we do it too much.I guess the easy answer is to remove the playing of the national anthem at sporting events, but I for one just think it's one of the few ways we can hono(u)r the men and women who paid the ultimate price in order for us to have the freedoms that we enjoy today.
