seems the first inclination is not to believe something like this really happened to someone and instead believe the person is motivated to lie in order to advance a political agenda

So you learned all that about 300+ million people based on a handful of responses to a single incident? Or do you maybe agree that you went a step or two too far with that statement?

I mean, my old man actually told me yesterday he heard the same opinion while watching football at his legion. I'm not inclined to think that makes any kind of sweeping statement about Canada (or even just Canadian veterans) though.

I think there's ignorance in all nations.

I know there's a shit ton of human beings in the United States of America, the third most in the world if I'm not mistaken.

As a percentage, Americans are probably as assholish and ignorant as Spaniards, Brits, Canucks, Italians, etc. There's just more Americans to make that per capita percentage sound louder than it really is.

All of those nations including the US are also home to some of the most progressive minds on the planet, and their actions speak pretty loudly too.

We need to get away from this "holy crap the responses to this twitter post" viewpoint of our societies and acknowledge that it's usually the most assholish of the bunch who rush to make Michael Bennett feel like a second-class citizen on twitter while most people in this country would love to shake the dude's hand and snap a photo with him, excellent athlete he is and decent person he seems to be.

I think I recently read somewhere that on a per capita basis, Americans give more to charity than any other nation on Earth, so they got that going for them which is nice.

But what were you commenting on there if not "the American people"? You're referencing comments made by individual Americans, no?

It's anecdotal of course, but for most of the Americans I know I don't get the impression that any of this is much of a concern for them or has any impact on their day to day life.

I think there's more than a few teams that could use Colin Kaepnerick based on some of the QB play I saw yesterday.

We have to, if we want to get money back in taxes.

The Seahawks medical team haven't ruled out a diagnosis of Gang Green for Russell.

Jim Mora: LIVE TV? DONT TALK ABOUT LIVE TV!

Well, ya see, in the second half of that clip the broadcast team got their ass totally kicked by the FCC. NBC can't report diddly poo in the way of sports.

That was a horseshit performance. It sucked. It stunk.
