I hope i've an understanding IRS agent when I explain why I'm late again.
Last year they accepted my excuse .... "Busy w/ the NFL Draft and Mockin'"
Rozelle pushing the draft back 2 weeks may complicate things for me. IRS folk expect us to file by the 15th

I think the draft hinges on the Rams at two. If they go Watkins, I think the Browns go QB at 4. If the Rams go Robinson, I think the Browns go Watkins at 4. If the latter scenario happens, it's very possible that the QB's start to fall. For my Cowboys, if there are 3-4 QB's taken early, we should sit tight and take a value pick at 16 that should be no worse than #16 on our value board. If the QB's are still on the board at 16, we should trade down with someone who wants the QB. Pretty Simple

I predict that Clowney will be the number one pick in the draft.....

but....

not necessarily by the Texans.

I hope Bortles' girlfriend is there. That is all I care about.

If I was the Texans, I absolutely would not draft Clowney number 1. Nothing personal, but I don't think he is a No.1 worthy player.

Can go back the last five years, or 6 or 8 or whatever. Take the best pass rushers in the NFL, and look at their last year in college. They will all have at least 10 sacks. Clowney had 3.

He is too quick and easy to turn off. He should have been able to get more sacks than three blindfolded, if he was a hardcore, only-lives-to-play kind of guy. And that's what I'd want for a number 1 pick.

I would take him later in the first round though..

If I'm Houston I'd take Mack first. Work ethic questions aren't there and Mack is far better suited to play a 3-4 OLB. Don't like Watkins #1 (last 10 or so SBOWL winners haven't had an elite WR).

The SMART moves for each team:

Houston: Mack, better fit for 3-4.
St. Louis: Matthews (Robinson is more of a project).
Jacksonville: Clowney (hope it pans out, but they run a 4-3).
Browns: Whatever QB they want.
Raiders: Robinson (team isn't going anywhere soon, they can afford a project that could be best OT of the draft).
Falcons: Lewan or Barr.

We shall see.

I'll laugh if Watkins is taken in the top 6 by the CURRENT teams picking in the 6. He doesn't make sense for any of them. St. Louis arguably makes the most sense, but they just spent a 1st on a WR.
