I understand the FO probably wanna see what type of rapport Tmac n Wince have together, but if this latest projection is any indication of what Tmac's value is. It looks as if peeps understand the shitty QB situation Tmac's been in during his career in DC and they aren't bothered by it. The FO might wanna act sooner rather than later. Regardless if they want to re-sign him or trade him. Seems like yesterday when Washington would be in great shape cap-wise this year. A desperation trade for a questionable QB and a few outrageous signings for a few WRs later and times have changed.

Agreed. The Commanders have as much of a chance of winning a SB in the next couple years. As the Redskins do.

The NFL, in its quest to add more scoring to its' product, opened up this can of worms and now they have arrived at that fulcrum where WRs are valued at prices once reserved for QBs. As we are witnessing, some teams would rather trade away these superstar players rather than pay them the rising cost. Others are all too willing to trade for them and pay that freight because in a passing league, star receivers now go arm in arm with star QBs.

The smart thing to do with TM is in re-signing him now from the team perspective. Draft your WR1 in this draft and perhaps his replacement next year, even if the idea is to eventually let him go. Under that contract, he can either settle in and do work for the organization or becomes trade bait if they decide to go younger/less expensive.
