I just want to pass on to WF fans a congratulations on producing one of the best players in the game. And you fucks got him for 4 years. I'm jealous. :hail:

For me, Duncan was the coolest man to ever play the game ... at the level he did. It was never about him. It was always about the team.

I wasn't aware WF had fans here. Anyways I think we can all agree Duncan had a fashion sense unlike any other.

*ahem*

Duncan was an amazing college player. 3x National DPOY, 2x ACC POY, 1997 National POY, 2x ACC Champion, 2x 1st Team All-American.

Also, is responsible for a bunch of middle aged dudes living in the Triad region of North Carolina rooting for the Spurs since 1997.

The 1990-2010 run for Wake Basketball was a fun one, and Tim Duncan, Rodney Rogers and Randolph Childress will always be the first three names I think of, when I think about those fun times.

lol, Wake didn't even make the FF :gaah:. They were a #5 seed (in the NCAAT) his Freshman year, a #1 seed his Soph. year, a #2 seed his Jr. year and a #3 seed his Sr. season. So, they had a good seed in the NCAAT every year he was at Wake.

Probably should have made it in 1995, but Childress got sick during the 1995 NCAA Tournament. Excuses, excuses though. Failing to make the FF with Duncan, is one of the reasons why Odom was ran out of town in 2001. The talent level that surrounded Tim during his Jr and Sr. seasons consisted of a bunch of names that live in basketball obscurity.

Give Duncan the talent level that Darius Songaila, Josh Howard, Chris Paul and Jeff Teague were later surrounded with, and I would have been shocked if Duncan didn't take the Deacs to the FF. But eh, that is a fairly big assumption.

Tim Duncan is a 15 time NBA Allstar and one of the greatest to ever play. Even as he got older he was still a excellent player. To me the best Power Forward in NBA history.

Is it weird that Darius Songaila was one of my favorite players growing up? Much respect to Duncan. A true great. Go Kings!
