I know with a lot of stuff like that, their debut is so great, that you build your expectations so high for their follow-up, that they couldn't possible reach said expectation. Super Troopers is great example. Club Dread and Beerfest could never possibly live up to it. Greatly disappointed upon first view. However, both of the latter, have grown on me, and I now find funny, Club Dread is such a great follow-up, completely flipping the roles....most hate it. I think its funny.

I've only seen Club Dread a couple of times, I thought it was pretty funny though; it was just different. I really liked Beerfest mostly because I am quite fond of beer. I totally get what you mean when a comedy group sets a bar high for themselves.

What did you think of The World's End? I thought it was alright, but those two are a lot better in my opinion.

Believe it or not, I've yet to see it...on the to-do list.
I've watched The World's End twice so far. I liked it better the second time than the first. I have no idea why other than I think my expectations were unmeetable during my first viewing. The Pegg-Wright-Frost team is by far my favorite right now and has been for some time.

FINALLY someone lists my favorite move ever.

"THE SOUND OF MUSIC."

That opening panorama of the Alps followed by Julie Andrews running through a meadow then breaking into the title song is probably my favorite movie scene ever. With the hilarious cartoon title sequence to "The Pink Panther" it's closest competition.

I would rather throw up for 2 hours than sit through the sound of music.
