I did an experiment and went on YouTube and found games from 10-20 yrs ago. I wanted to see if Vin had lost a step and maybe it was so gradual that we didn't even notice.

He hasn't.

The man is as good as he's ever been.

My buddy actually met Vin at a Dodgers game early last season and said the man looks like he's in his late 60's. I think Mrs. Scully must be doing something to keep him young.

As a fan of Ernie Harwell I can honestly say you don't realize what you got till they no longer there.

Not as big a MLB fan as I used to be, but I feel a lot of compassion and empathy for anybody that doesn't like Vin. Simply put, he's amazing and an even better person. Met him several times when I worked for the News-Press and he's a great guy.
