My wife spent her early childhood years growing up in Cleveland and is half a Browns fan and half a Pats fan. (Teen and adult years living in MA is the Pats part.)

She's a nurse so sometimes she draws the shift when the games are on, and when she comes home I love asking her.

You want me to just tell you that the Browns lost, or do you want me to tell you in what spectacular way they lost this time?

Ownership is the root cause of most of the teams that have struggled for long periods of time.

If you enjoy sports history books, try "From Darkness to Dynasty", history of the New England Patriots. I know it's a Pats book, but a great book to show the transition of a team via ownership.

Little spoiler alert for the book, they once drafted a dead guy.

Actually they are already on their way. They have a solid management team now, and if they stay the course, they will be on the uptick the next couple of years. (Bill Belichick school of management in use there now.)
