Nice.

BTW, anybody watching the Birds tonight. Infield hit, a real hit and run, a walk, and a single to right field. That would never occur to Dustbin to actually have a real hit and run. Just like that they get 2 runs and still batting with men at the corners. It's the hit and run that pisses me off. I haven't seen a Reds hitter execute one all season.

Dusty tried one with Mike Leake at the plate. Meanwhile some clown in Cincinnati was just arrested for the second time, for having sex with a neighbors blowup pool toy. True. Neither guy understood what they did wrong I guess. The difference is, ignorance isn't an excuse for violating the law, but it can get you 1600 wins in MLB, if you can find employers with enough patience. Easier than finding neighbors with patience, I suppose.

Meanwhile, St. Louis gets a leadoff guy on base, gets him to 3rd base and he scores on a single. First and third, drive the count up, wait for the crap-ass pitcher to groove one, and it's a 4-run inning.
Reds do that and we're all excited about the upcoming "win streak" we haven't had yet.

Sometimes, I think our dugout staff is made up of blowup toys.
Funny how I have this image in my head now about that.

I read that this guy has been arrested a few times for indecent behavior in his swimming pool. Evidently he's a mental case and the huggers are all blaming the "system" for not helping him. I would just recommend the idiot put up a privacy fence and play with his balloons as much as he wants.

Doesn't do a lot for me, this raft. maybe if it was a different color ....

Floatie perves aside, I think Reds fans would agree the team is better than they've played lately. If they truly are, like most things in the longest season in pro sports, what goes around, comes around...and the law of averages will show improvement for our Reds. If there was ever a good time for a break, it's now.

Agreed. The team is under performing based on our expectations, but it's those expectations that could be the problem. We have the Cards & Pi-rats over-achieving in my opinion and so here we are chasing them...things can change quickly, as we all know, after the break. Folks, we have a a 50+ win team at the break, been peeled by injuries, and are playing in what appears to be one of the toughest divisions in baseball (as far as the top 3 teams). Christ, the Giants played incredibly average all season last year, then when it was "go time"....they dominated. We need to get healthy (and be able to sustain it....Cueto), add Luddy back into the mix, get Marshall back to form a nice pen of Marshall, Cingrani, Chappy (maybe Broxton....not sure I trust him) then get back at it hot & heavy. We have a top 10 record in all of MLB even though we, as fans, still expected more. We can, and will, build off this....

It is just the calm before the storm my friends....and hell, if the game was easy....everyone would be doing it....and it would be boring. I find these kinds of challenges (with the opportunity to knock both the Cards & Pirates of their perch) quite exciting.

Long Live Reds Nation. :suds:

I agree that having Cueto would stabilize the pitching. All the same, unfortunately, we still can't convince Dusteroo that Cozart needs to be hitting 8th.

Reds get a couple of runs, then spend the next 3 innings hitting 2-hoppers to the right side of the infield.
This is what we call a VERY BAD OFFENSE.

This is also the kind of shit that happens to your pitcher when he knows 2 runs is all this fuckng offense is going to produce. Third place, folks.
Get used to it.

Frustrating to say the least, but I still think this team has some fire left for a big run in the second half.

This team is going nowhere and I am seriously doubting they can keep a wildcard at this point. Letting the season slowly slip away by not winning games they should be winning. How much longer do we have to endure the effort of this talented squad? Why is management not shaking up this thing is a mystery to me. Clearly, there is an issue. Dustmop has ran us out of 2 innings in the last 2 days with Bruce and Frazier, 2 guys you wouldn't think of as speedsters right? The manager is responsible for the effort and I am not seeing the effort on our hitters behalf. Something needs to be done.

There is no wild card for this team. They will finish with 85 wins.
I turned it off today after Homer gave up the lead, knowing they wouldn't score again.
What was that, having Bruce try to steal off a guy that the announcers had just said had picked off 7 guys and had only allowed 2 steals all year?
I reckon Dusty didn't get to that part of the scouting report.
