A friend posted that damn "your cell phone # will be released to telemarketers at the end of this month unless you follow these steps immediately! You WILL be charged for these calls!"

I had to point out that the same email has been circulating since 2005.

and ... seriously.. when was the last time you were CHARGED for an inbound cell call.
Think about it dammit. Use your head.

Someone sent me an e-mail with that info. I'll forward the link huskers provided back to him. As of the past few years I've been donating to Make A Wish and am starting St. Jude's also. I'll stick with those two just because I like what they do.

Goodwill is a very catchy name for his business.

You donate to his business and then he sells the items for PROFIT.
He pays nothing for his products and pays his workers minimum wage! Nice Guy.

The one I trust most is the "Keep the kids off of Bosses lawn" organization. It cost a lot of money for ammo and by having a nice green lawn it is helping the environment by fighting carbon emissions. The neighborhood also looks much better and keeps the home values up.

How much if any goes to the cats? Word on the street is they have a fancy new bungalow so I am not sure they need it. Also will any go toward cat nip? I don't want my charitable dollars going to fund a drug habit.

Here is a good example. Mark Curran is a fictitious person. Jim Gibbons is the CEO of Goodwill. Goodwill, a non-profit organization that can't possibly turn a profit by law, actually has a Web page about this fake e-mail.

Came here to say that. In fact, around here they keep opening and remodeling stores to spend what would otherwise be profit.
