If he's not playing tackle, no way do we draft him with our fifth overall pick. He'd need to play tackle and play it an All-Pro level to be taken there. Frame of reference: Trent Williams, fourth overall pick in 2010. If he's not Trent, don't take him at #5.

I still like him but there appear to be some other options surfacing, that could be just as good as him that may even be available in the 2nd.

I believe in this philosophy too. Especially since I trust the guy deciding now.

He is clearly the best lineman in this draft but there are question marks about if he can play tackle. That is not a good sign. So he would be a guard. You don't take a guard/RT at #5. If you want a G you can get AJ Cann in the 2nd round from SC. Scherff should only be a possibility if we trade down which is highly unlikely.

How is Scherff the BPA over Shelton? Our current NT is way over 30 and his best football is behind him. So you guys would want the Skins to draft a RG/RT? That makes no sense at all.

It so tough to predict b/c FA hasn't begun yet.

no one said scherff was the BPA over anyone . the point is it doesnt matter what some pre concieved notion of where a certain position is drafted if he can help our team you take him

this guy is compared to martin of the cowboys . PB and all pro in year one . we get a guy like that at OG or Rt then we have hit gold .

again we most likely wont choose him but i am not SM nor are you . if we take him i would be ok with it

Listen if it's scherff ,Shelton flower Williams Imo they are all hits and day 1 starters what is the problem? The main concern should be how many hits we make on rounds 2 through 7 with sm at the helm you can't really fuck up the first round I could understand if it was Allen,cerratto or synder picking for us but it's not
