Tulo is out for the rest of the year...I believe the hip surgery he is having is similar to what ARod had, but I'm not sure of that (not a doctor although I play one on TV).

So...wait, are they going to lose 100 games THIS year, or last year?

Rockies ownership doesn't care one bit about winning games. They average over 30,000 every year in attendance. People go to the ballpark regardless how well the team does. Most people don't even go to watch the game but just to get drunk on their party decks. I agree that paying a guy 300 million is outrageous but it would be nice if the ownership would at least try to put a decent pitching rotation together. Nope. Same thing every year.

It's just impossible to pitch in Colorado. Ubaldo could for a while then Colo kicked him to the curb.

I'll tell you what though, if yer an aging vet in the last leg of your career it's harder to think of a better place to play than Colo.

I would nominate the Rangers for this honor. Twice yesterday they had a 5 run lead and blew it both times. That was not an aberration. It's going to be business as usual this season. They may get to 70 wins max.

Another year, another waiting game on Tulo and Cargo trades. It's clear that the Rockies will, at best, be a .500 team, and for sure they will not make the playoffs. The Dodgers, Diamondbacks, Giants, and Padres are all better teams... and that's with Tulo and Cargo healthy.

The Rockies should probably have EVERY asset on the table, INCLUDING Arenado and Dickerson, in hopes of landing draft picks and prospects. Winning in baseball is not about one or two players, its about organization-level talent. Tulo would bring in a smorgasbord of talent himself. Arenado might bring in even more.

lol @ the Rockies.

Swept by the Padres, then swept by the Diamondbacks.

No wonder they're in the cellar.

Seriously! Great talent but has he ever made it through a season without missing significant time from injuries?

I know you're talking about scoring and standings, but I am putting down the Los Angeles Dodgers as the worst team in baseball. At least Rockies fans can watch the games and aren't getting screwed like 70% of the fan base in the Los Angeles.

Man, I bet there's a lot of taco shells going stale on the shelves at the local Taco Bells in Denver given the Rockies offensive struggles at the plate.
