Power Rankings: Baseball's hottest club leaps up 7 spots

A week of struggles sees the Rangers fall to #3 in this week's Power Rankings, which is still far higher than anyone would have guessed they'd be this far into the season. They're still playing +.600 baseball, still have the best run differential in baseball, and are +10 vs. 2022.

Heaney, Eovaldi, and Perez are the starters for this set. all games at 7pm.

@saddles I think you asked the board a few days ago how many bullpen pieces we think the team still needs.
I'd still say at least two.
At the moment I trust Smith, Anderson, Sborz, Burke and Barlow (as a non-closer). Ideally they'd trade for a dominant closer and another high leverage guy.

As much as I loved Burke last year I have not liked what I have seen from him this year.

Yeah, that's about where I stand as well. If they can find another Odorizzi type, that might be a good piece to add as well, a long guy who can make an emergency start.

As much as I loved Burke last year I have not liked what I have seen from him this year.

As much improvement as Sporz has made, still not comfortable with him. He needs a few more good outtings to win my confidence.

I’ve been encouraged by the last few outings of Sborz, Anderson, Barlow, and even leclerc. King was a big part of our win yesterday.

I still think we need at least 1 bullpen arm and a depth starter to get us thru the season. I’m not a big fan of gutting the farm to go for it like some people seem to want to do.

Lowe has been very tentative to pull but another issue is speed. JUng is a much better base runner

Corey has 2 walks in the past 6 games, so I don't think that's a factor.

One was pretty significant a couple days ago o. The Halos game where Lowe ended the game after an IBB.

Here’s the other thing Seager can still be given lousy pitches when the guy behind is not effective. Seems like they gave Corey the IBB with the bases loaded- the Bonds treatment.

But yeah sure there is more to it than only the intentional walk
