thats why I said the weight of the tire, forgot to add that the size matters to.

the ONE time, where bigger is not always better.

got 33 inch tires on my jeep, they are not as efficient as the 31 inch tires, but the 6 inch lift requires them, or it looks stupid. the downshifting is not a problem since its 5 on the floor. but my mileage difference is better with the 33's over the 29 inch ones

I guess I should add that the mileage is better on a flat road!

for 4-wheeling and climbing, the larger footprint and rise in torque requirements do decrease speed and efficiency.

My son finally got smart and is going back to stock rims and tires on his car.
he put lo pro's on and ended up needing tires in three years as they are better on efficiency, but lousy on wear. three year lifespan on tires is not very efficient, regardless of fuel efficiency!

i also had a death wobble on my Jeep. going to 33 inch tires solved the problem. mor of a bandaid fix, but fixed nontheless
