Oh and one more thing.........If the NFL has fixed games, does anyone think that by now, someone would have came forward with it?

And not just a player saying it was that wants to be anonymous..............But somebody would actually come out and point fingers by now.

I know there are times like the 9`er/Pack game had some wtf plays, but i`m not sure it warranted fixed.........
Rodgers in the 4th qtr with 4 guys on him and he gets out of that?......The defenders had their hands all over him.It amazed me how he got out of that. But I know that wasn`t fixed.........
another was Rodgers moving up in the pocket with a defender just getting an arm on him when he could`ve easily had the sack. But i don`t think that was fixed either.

There are just way too many players that would not gpo for that, coaches, refs and wtf ever involved for this too happen......period!

There's no incentive to talk and it only takes 1 player, ref, etc to fix a game. It doesn't take 50 conspirators.

Jose Canseco blew the whistle on steroids in baseball. He's flat broke and attempting to play minor league baseball still. So, so much for that theory.

The Bountygate players were willing to attempt to break knecks for a grand. So much for that theory, too.

Why in the holy fuck would you talk if you were fixing games and getting away with it?

And once you retired and decided to talk....who would believe you? You'd be an outcast. People would call you crazy just like a lot of people are calling me crazy. The NFL would wheel out former and current players, execs, coaches, etc to refute you. You wouldn't stand a chance! You'd be a pariah for the rest of your life.

And after all these years, games after games played, reffed and coached,do you not think the teammates or other refs would have figured this person or persons out by now?

You're crazy because you have literally zero substantiation and are talking like a wide scale conspiracy is fact .

A former player with proof would be able to get the word out, public opposition or not. All it takes is one guy unhappy with the results, and if it existed on the scale you are pretending, there would be hundreds of guys with the knowledge and who weren't happy with it. You can't have the same guy fix every game. You need a lot of player involvement to even have a chance to dictate stories like you're pretending.

University of Michigan study on student athletes and gambling

http://umich.edu/~mgoblue/compliance/gambling/study.html
Some of the most notable findings documented by this study include:

1) Most student athletes gamble.

Our research indicates that 72% of student athletes have gambled in some way since entering college. This number is even higher among male student athletes with 80% gambling in some manner while attending college.

2) Casino gambling is a popular activity among student athletes with 48.2% of all student athletes wagering at a casino.

3) Many student athletes gamble on sports.

Among all student athletes, nearly 35% have gambled on sports while attending college. Among male student athletes, over 45% gambled on sports.

4) A considerable number of student athletes acted in ways that call into question the integrity of their contests or put them in contact with individuals who may try to affect the outcome of their games.

Over 5% of male student athletes provided inside information for gambling purposes, bet on a game in which they participated, or accepted money for performing poorly in a game.

5) Student athletes who gamble with bookmakers are wagering substantial amounts of money.

The mean amount of money wagered on a single sports bet through a bookmaker was $57.25. Furthermore, the student athletes who gambled on sports with bookmakers were wagering an average of $225 each month.

None in the mega billion dollar tv money era, no.

It's all relative with respect to TV revenue and 8 of the top 10 rated Super Bowls happened in the 70s & 80s.

Your book would make millions. There are plenty of players living hand to mouth who would do it in a heartbeat if it were true. Pariah... psshh. Most of these old-timers have no public life nor relationships with their ex-teammates & coaches anyway. You don't think there's a Jose Canseco or 2 among them ? You're kidding yourself... but that's pretty obvious from everything you post both here and on the main board.

The Extent and Nature of Gambling Among College Student Athletes

and all of that goes away if what you claim is discovered to be true.

Jose Canseco was a mega star. Now, after exposing the steroid conspiracy, he's broke. And you just dismiss it.

What on earth are you talking about? These college point shaving polls aren't "claims." These are facts. These are only the ones who admit it, too. For every one that admits it there are probably a dozen others who don't.

Answer me this. Do you think the September 11 attacks were also a giant conspiracy/cover up? I am curious, because I have a feeling you do.

I don't know where you got your numbers but 2012 was the SB's first 70+ share since the 80s. It used to regularly get a 70+ share back in the 70s. You said this has been going on for a long time anyway. I believe you cited some 1971 fixed game. So which is it ? The fixing is recent or it's been going on for a long time ?

And Canseco's money problems are due to the fact that he's an idiot who doesn't know how to handle his money. He was washed up as a player when he wrote the book which was a best seller.

The market for sports gambling would crash overnight if what you claim were true. It's not and it won't. The primary reason you're propping your "the NFL is fixed" case on is the very reason it isn't. It's the money. There's too much at risk that would be lost if it were true and it came out.
