Next:
The "Patriots" post 9/11 run.
The Saints 40 years of losing, then winning a title for a Katrina ravaged city.
The Harbaugh Bowl
Marketing MAGIC !!!

..yeah, because Tom Brady had NOTHING to do with the Pats success.
..Drew Brees and the Saints offense is terrible, so didn't deserve a title.
..Peyton doesn't want another ring, so he told Rahim Moore to fall down and allow the 70 yard TD
..Marketing MAGIC? ... maybe I'll listen to some Vegas BS, or ticketing strategies...but for me to think that a coach would chance his livelihood is just silly.

I'm going to assume you didn't read this.

you, like the guy who wrote that article, have assumed wrong... sure I didn't go word for word, but I read enough... and yes, I did see the hold in that Bears/Packers video highlight!

Yeah, because the Pats had such a massive following in 2001
9/11 was used to generate that following, followed by the team's "success".

If Dalton didn't fumble and intercept away the victory yesterday, would this thread exist?

Probably not, since the article being referenced is from 2012 and is old hat. But the reason for bringing up the article doesn't diminish the argument in the article.

I saw the link to the article in the comment section of an article on cincinnati.com.

It has nothing to do with the Bengals. It has nothing to do with the outcome of the game yesterday. I just thought it was interesting. Sports are entertainment. I enjoy them thoroughly.....Why? BECAUSE IT'S ENTERTAINING! Of course there are often times when outcomes are fixed. How any can even question that is patently absurd.

Now I know why pass interference wasn't called in the Super Bowl last year. Crabtree got mauled but they were blind to it for some reason.

Makes sense now.

If you think there's a chance that there has never been a disgruntled ex-player or coach to shed a light on this and that it exists, you're nuts.

If the NFL was fixed, wouldn't this year's Superbowl be Eagles vs Chiefs? So much for that. And don't give me Denver, because if what you're saying is true, the NFL wants no part of Peyton Manning hoisting Lombardi.

In 2007 a Jets season ticket holder sued the NFL for $185 million and the case reached the US Supreme Court.

and we're talking about something wrong within the NFL? $185, 000, 000.00? That is the most pathetic attempt to get rich I've ever heard of...how it got that far in court is what's wrong in the world, that, someone suing a restaurant for hot coffee, a driver coming to an immediate stop to get hit from behind resulting in "whiplash", congress more worried about Barry Bonds than George Bush...

humans :L

illogical human :L :L

That $185 million was in a sense a class action lawsuit representing refunds that all fans at all home games get their ticket prices refunded, not a payout to one person.

lol

Indeed. That's how class-action lawsuits usually are. Big payouts for tons of people, that often times result in small gains after lawyer fees, court fees, etc, etc...

You're a moron. You don't have one single clue what the lawsuit was about or the evidence that was presented in that case. You have no idea what the NFL admitted to, either. All you have to do is read, though. I'm sure you won't.

They didn't admit to anything. They just said even if they did it didn't matter.

That's a much simpler case than bothering to address his laughable allegations. You only bother with that if you have to.

Your simply not telling the truth or are ignorant. Anyone with google can look up what the NFL admitted to.

Ever heard of Tim Donaghy? the NBA has been rigging games for decades. Games, drafts, playoff series. It's really not that hard to do, either.

I know what the case was. You aim for the broadest, most general win you can get , so you waste less time on anything resembling it in the future. It's called being good at your job, not a confession of any guilt.
