So United's central midfield roster now includes Schweinsteiger, Schneiderlin, Carrick, Herrera and Blind. Nice options. Probably gives them the best midfield in England. Chelsea need to get moving because relying on Ramires and Mikel is going to bite them hard in the ass. They might think Romeu is ready, though, and maybe Loftus-Cheek sticks around although apparently he's a loan target for Fiorentina (something about making whole the Salah deal or something I dunno).

Manchester City really just needs the guys they have to perform up to their abilities. Too many guys seem to go on cruise control (I'm looking in your direction Yaya) and they blow too many games against lesser teams (Stoke City?).

my brother told me that hes seen 7 turf fields in the Naples/Sorrento region

I think the USWNTs concerns would have been listened to more if they had ditched the sexism/discrimination position and stuck with a "we're guinea pigs" warning

Yaya just raised expectations too high with that 24 goal season - last year was pretty normal for his career. If there was any decline it's only because he's a 32 year old with 600+ games under his belt.

City's problem is in defence - Kompany was bad when he wasn't hurt, Mangala didn't adapt easily though there's still hope, and they still play Demichelis in competitive games which is insane.

Slight tangent here, but did anybody else notice the huge shadows on the field in Houston during the CONCACAF Gold Cup game between Canada and Jamaica? Just terrible.

Still hard to believe the Whitecaps have yet to score a goal from a set piece this season...Parker almost had one from a corner kick yesterday, but Feilhaber cleared it off the line.

Canada needs a win over Costa Rica to advance in the CONCACAF Gold Cup tourney. Hopefully, the crowd at BMO Field can spur the boys on to victory tonight.
