Yeah, I think the guy who tweeted that out agrees with you BBB. I think he thinks the ref made a good call in both cases, but changed his mind after looking at the VAR review.

I don’t like VAR- I like the referee having complete authority and adding the element of being biased and shady or on the take. That’s what made the sport special - the correct call wasn’t always made and it made the histories of important matches more meaningful if you ask me. And I don’t like VAR from a gambling perspective either. FIFA is about as corrupt as it comes and so should the officiating.
