I applaud the guy for coming out but yes it is old already. It's not like he is the first gay person in the world. Get past it, move on and let the guy just be a ball player. I think what BK is suggesting is that the coverage of the story seems overkill in relationship to the likely public fallout.

This is isnt 1947.

Most people are educated and accepting.

It is insulting to us the viewing public. The media is just assuming we are all simple-minded troglodyte bigots..... or not intelligent enough to understand the moment....

We are supposed to be in stunned awed and shock that something so unfathomable happened.

Truth is...... most people are intelligent and could care less. We are evolved and tolerant.

Then everyone moved on immediately. That would be far more impressive.
