I agree. It was a big disappointment imo. A friend of mine got the movie online and we turned it off after 40 minutes.

Quitter! @ 46 minutes it really takes off.

Just saw the best picture of the year so far. 3 Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Great acting from Francis McDormand, as a bitter mother whose daughter was raped and killed., and Sam Rockwall in a supporting role as a police officer whose actions brand him as a racist and a failure.

Fast paced story line begins with the mother, frustrated over the failure of the police to find her daughter's killer, puts up 3 signs that implicates the failure of the police and the police department to capture her daughter's killer. Woody Harrelson plays the sheriff who changes the mood of the film with a bombshell near the middle of the picture.

If you like good movies without special effects and fantasy monsters, this picture is for you.

Such a great movie.

It was even a little darker at times then I expected(I knew it was a black comedy going in).

Starring a very young The Dude.

Sappy and dated but I like it.

It's a very sweet story and Karen Allen is very attractive in it.. I think it's a very good movie and was Bridges 1st Oscar nomination for Best Actor.

Star Man was a great movie. It's one of those pictures you can watch over and over again. Bridges was indeed great in that film.
