This is a classic case of the vegas stereotype, that people who have no fucking idea what Vegas is really like. there are 2 million people here, and unless they work on the strip, most dont go there. and the ones who work there, rarely stay there after shifts. Its is an ignorant assumption to think that players will get into anymore or less truble here than anywhere else.

You are acting like these players coming in are locals though. That is just not the case. WE are talking about 21 year olds that have just been handed millions of dollars in a city with lots of places to spend that money. And Vegas is not like any other city out there. They have rules that no other city in the country has so stop acting like Vegas is just like the rest of the country. No I don't live there but I know plenty of people who do who see all the trouble that can come up with that city. Yes players can get into trouble in other cities but where do these players love to go more than anywhere else if they are looking to party for a weekend? Vegas...

are these the ex players who have a vested financial interest on the raiders staying in Oakland? Also, If you give a fuck what Dante Stallworth thins about anything, I feel bad for you.

Well let's see opinion of a random poster on a message board or that of an ex-player that actually lived the life of an NFL player...Hmmm who to listen to? Man this is a toss up.

You don't know shit about Vegas. Guess what, there are the same type of night life trials in CHicago, New York, LA Miami, Dallas, San Fran, Seattle, on and on and on. You don't get it, and you are the exact type of person who condemns a city you don't know shit about. Anyone who pretends that Vegas is some cesspool of sin, is usually the kind of person who cant control themselves, and comes here to be an asshat. The people you supposedly know that live here, how long have they lived here? Are they the same type of people who live here for a couple years and claim to be locals? Stop telling me about my city please.

So one guy with no self control, makes it impossible for the rest of man kind to deal. Sounds like an airtight argument.

Well let's see one of my best friends is a 3rd generation Las Vegas person. Other than college my friend has lived their his entire life. Through him I have gotten connected with many of his friends that he grew up with who again have been in Vegas most of their life.

I've also been to every city you listed. Heck lived in 2 of them for a while in Miami and Seattle. Vegas is a different city. You can say all you want that it isn't but it is a whole different animal. All those other cities while they have their own uniqueness still felt like you were just in another city with a little different atmosphere. Vegas is the only place I have been in the United States that it did not feel like anywhere else. My wife for work has traveled the world and lived now on 3 different continents. She went to Vegas for the first time just a couple of years ago and comments all the time about it being different than anywhere else she has ever been.

Also I control myself just fine in Vegas. I'm not a big drinker, I can control myself gambling (most I've ever lost in a single day gambling is $100), and the whole stripper scene does not entice me at all. I can go to Vegas and have a good time without having to go crazy.

Again please keep this in mind. These players who are being drafted and taken to the Raiders are not locals. WE are talking brand new people to the city who have been handed millions of dollars. Yes players can get into trouble in every city across the US. Heck Broncos just saw a player get shot in Dallas after a night of partying. So yes can happen anywhere. Vegas though the entire Strip is a party. It is encouraged to party. Instead of the city allowing the party area of the city it is the focal point in Vegas.

Not saying that. We are talking though a guy who has played with plenty of players and knows the tendencies of what those players will do. It is no secret that lots of NFL players are big time party guys. I don't know how many stories I have read about guys showing up to practice after being out until 4 a.m. partying and being drunk at practice. So this isn't just one man's opinion but something we have seen a lot of from these guys. Throw in these are not seasoned adults we are talking about. Many of the guys on the team are between the ages of 21-26 in the league. Just starting into adulthood and being handed large chunks of money. For many of these guys they grew up with very little so the tendency is to overdo it when they are given more. It is why they have to have the Rookie Symposium every single year to try and maybe just maybe keep some of these guys from going too crazy.

Again plenty of things happen in other cities with these players. That is not what I am arguing. When these players want to go crazy though Vegas and Miami are usually the top-2 choices of cities for them to go. These are cities that encourage the party life more so than other cities. I would still put Vegas at the top over Miami. Lived in Miami and while there is a party life for sure the strip clubs and gambling are nowhere near what it is in Vegas. Miami is more of a club scene than anything else.

LeBron and his team didn't have that problem, but the visiting team did.. Now you see what my argument was all about..

You are comparing apples and oranges here though. You are talking about a team that was in Cleveland over an extended period of time. With a visiting team coming to Vegas we are talking about a team that is there for maybe 24 hours with most of that time either sleeping or getting ready for the game. Again we are talking about a situation where they have people stationed at the hotel to make sure players are not going out and partying the night before the game.

There is a little town in Louisiana that seems to be a party place. Care to add a few more to your party destination cities that are so much different than Vegas?

So staying somewhere for say 4-5 days compared to being in a place overnight is the same thing? So very structured schedule of what players are allowed to do in that time before the game is the same as letting the players go do what they want to do? Hmmm interesting.

Sheesh again I'm not saying players don't party other places. Vegas and Miami though are easily the top-2 choices for these players. Miami more for the club scene and Vegas just for the overall party atmosphere that it offers. Doesn't mean other cities don't have some party scenes. They just don't compare to that of Vegas and Miami.

I guess you think all players are just a bunch of thug idiots who cant control themselves. I mean what the fuck dude. They are grown ass men, and professional players. They will or wont get into trouble regardless of the city.
