Petty says he's fine and that he took a facemask to the back. If thats the case, it prob is just bruised.

We'll see. I know he wants to play, but players have a tendency to get themselves even more hurt with this mentality. It shouldn't be up to him.

Good gravy. if I'm the coach, he sits. But he is obviously a competitor - and good for him for that. But I would still try to explain to him that he might enjoy walking later on in his life. Some things are actually worth taking a step back and and taking a breath or two.

Baylor's god awful OOC schedule continues next week as they play Northwestern State Jr High. Baylor can insert one of their male cheerleaders at QB and whip this middle school by 4-5 TD's. Surely Briles isn't dumb enough to play Petty and will give him the rest his back will need. Hell, Petty should just sit out the remaining OOC games and wait til conference play to come back. Pretty sure they don't need him against Buffalo Elementary either......
