Technically, I grew up in Pittsboro IN - At least that's what the zip code & phone # prefix said.

It was a few years before Jeff got there, though.

lol. Yea, isn't he a Cali kid anyway? Indiana is his adopted home, so to speak.

Truck race tonight @ Daytona

Not going to start a new thread for this. There just aren't enough good ole rednecks on the hoop to chat racin' with. But I will post here during the race tonight in case anyone wants to talk truck racin'.

Wasn't Mark Martin going to retire a couple of years back? - (shows how little attention I've paid to NASCAR in recent years!).

... and Terry Labonte?

- It's time for a NASCAR Seniors' Series. :2cents:

Nasty wreck at the finish of the Busch race. There's a motor in the front row of the grandstand. Tore up the catch fencing. No replays either. That's usually bad news.

looks like he had one of his tires fly up into the grandstands as well. If it did, that probably took someone out.

Horrific wreck mars end of Daytona N'wide race - ESPN

"Sergeant John Creamer of the Daytona Beach Police said 15 fans were injured. Eleven are at Halifax Medical Center with one on the way to surgery with head trauma. Four fans were transported to Florida Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, and are expected to be treated and released.

At least one tire from Larson's car flew into the seating area. Police officers and NASCAR safety officials quickly ran to the location where part of the car went through the fencing, destroying one section of the catch fence."

Speed interviewed a few fans and that said several were hit with metal. The fans were describing it pretty detailed, talking about blood and how a piece of metal cut a husband on the head and his wife in the stomach. I'm kinda disappointed that Speed has resulted to 'shock' journalism, I thought they were better than that. I mean, I understand that they want to know what happened, but there is no need in describing the gory details this soon.

It was surprisingly a good race until that point. Hope everyone is ok. Everything I've read said of the 28 injured, 1 is in critical condition. That's stunning.

I hope he just screwed up and meant "gentlemen and Danica" and not "drivers and Danica." that was funny as hell though.
