I did an Excel sheet for all of Exum's games. I took what I thought were the best games (Pts + Rebounds + Assists + Steals + Blocks - Turnovers + Offensive Rebounds + Made FGs - Missed FGs, etc.). How I did it was unimportant because he's played so few games.

So, best 82 games: In 22.3293 minutes average, he averages 9.68 Points, 2.43 Rebounds, 3.26 Assists, 0.488 Steals, 0.244 Blocks, and 1.183 Turnovers.

In 36 minutes, that would be: 15.6 Points, 3.9 Rebounds, 5.25 Assists, 0.78 Steals, 0.393 Blocks, and 1.91 Turnovers,

He's only played 35 minutes a few times, but that's what it would extrapolate out to if more minutes doesn't ruin his efficiency.

Conversely, Donovan Mitchell's numbers are: In 34.9878 minutes average, he averages 26.146 Points, 3.83 Rebounds, 3.939 Assists, 1.60976 Steals, 0.305 Blocks, and 2.622 Turnovers.

In 36 minutes, that would be: 26.9 Points, 3.94 Rebounds, 4.05 Assists, 1.656 Steals, 0.314 Blocks, and 2.6978 Turnovers.

Wow! Donovan Mitchell is better! Just kidding.

None of that is impressive. He must have been better in prior seasons.

I think he’s going to have Alec Burk career trajectory. Maybe the Australians don’t drink milk, so therefore Dante has brittle bone syndrome. But, just like Alec, Dante goes flying through the air like a scud missile. Lands in a heap, time and time again. He has no jump shot. He has a first step with a crash landing. Might as well be the Evil Kanevel of the NBA. He will miss 1/3 of his games every year in a full body cast.

Prior seasons? These are his best 82 games, not last 82. So yeah, not impressive.

Dante Eczema is out ANOTHER two weeks. Freaking bust. Jazz just couldn’t face it though last summer - busted lottery pick. The AB albatross contract lives.

So Exum getting hurt while playing for the national team, was just a sign of things to come in his career.

yeah that guy is a bust I feel like by year 3 if you haven't show any signs of being great the writing is on the wall. But you have Mitchell and you have an all star for the next 5 years. Its hard to compete in the west because it is so stacked.

He is the anti-Ingles: Joe Ingles leads the league in consecutive games played. What’s his secret?

Both are from Australia. Ironically, people thought that Ingles came to mentor Exum.

He’s not a bust for me because I didn’t expect much from him. I liked him because he wanted to be a point guard and he likes assists and John Stockton. And I do like that his number is the same as Alex Smith. As far as being on the basketball court, I didn’t have high expectations, though I did expect him to be in the lineup until Mitchell came.

So yes, based upon his draft position injuries helped him be a bust so far and it doesn’t look like it’s going to turn around. I think he has gotten better though. He is young and he started super early.

BUST. Jazz screwed up big time paying him. Sorry, but serious blight to Lindsey's record. Paying a kid that's done zero. Out for the rest of the season. Alec Burks 2.0. So so stupid.

In his top 82 scoring games, he scored 856 points for a 10.44 points per game average.

Shoot, I lost the rest that I typed, but the conclusion is in the best 82 games for each category, he averaged 1.02 steals, 3.05 rebounds, 4.05 assists, 0.415 blocks. His best 82 of turnovers in 21 minutes or more games, was about a half turnover per game. His worst was obviously much worse than that.

On pro basketball reference, is there a tool to look up a player who averaged around 10.5 points, 4.1 assists, 3.1 rebounds, one steal, and around half a block per game? And 20 something minutes per game. Some of XM’s best games are when he has played few minutes.

Good voice recognition error.

This should be close:

Exum can make good defensive plays.

But given his injury history, and other holes, it's best to move on if they can.
