Some baseball expert once pointed out that every team wins 54 games and every team loses 54 games, and it's the other 54 games that matter. Close games are one key. Losing a game that should have been won is significant. At the end of the season, only the number of losses matter. A game lost by one run counts just as much as a blowout.
