Gott has been pretty good at landing transfers the last few years. Ralston Turner and Trevor Lacey were good players for State. We haven't been able to see what Terry Henderson could do, since he was hurt in their 1st game this year.

Nine-game conference football schedule possible for ACC

Interesting article about the ACC potentially expanding their conference schedule to 20 games. Also, includes a bunch of stuff about football.

Matthews would be a perfect fit with Gonzaga. Would give them a much needed shooter and he could play along side NGW.

Wake's non-conference schedule has been released. It is a lot easier than last year's schedule, and Wake should have a better roster this year.

Ya beat me to it man. Sorry your boys missed out on this one.

Syracuse, N.Y. — After a long, drawn-out recruiting process, Taurean Thompson finally made his decision.

Thompson, a Top 100 prospect in the Class of 2016, picked Syracuse over offers from Michigan State and Seton Hall.

Thompson's mother, Sherese Piper, confirmed her son's decision on Friday.

2016 recruiting target Taurean Thompson picks Syracuse

I don't have any problem with how long it took this guy to select a school. It's a monster decision. What I really like is there was no over the top TV announcement. No picking up hats and setting them down. No circus. Just business. Good stuff.

This also gives SU it's third ESPN top 100 for this class.

Push SU towards the top of your preseason polls. I've looked this group over and gotta say ... on paper it's an impressive group of athletes.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo nixes Albany basketball game at Duke over North Carolina's HB2 law

Syracuse, N.Y. — New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's stance against North Carolina House Bill 2 law has forced the cancellation of a basketball game between Albany and Duke.

Steve Wiseman of the Durham Herald-Sun reported Wednesday that Duke's previously-scheduled home game against Albany on Nov. 12 had been removed from the Blue Devils' schedule.

The Albany-Duke game at Cameron Indoor Stadium was scheduled as part of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Tip Off Tournament.

However, in March of 2016, the North Carolina General Assembly passed House Bill 2, which is a law that stipulates that transgender people must use the bathroom corresponding with their birth gender while taking away the ability of employees to sue their employers in state court for discrimination or wrongful termination.

After the law was passed, Gov. Cuomo responded with an executive order, banning any state-sponsored, non-essential travel to North Carolina.

Albany, as a member school in the State University of New York (SUNY) system, is subject to Cuomo's travel ban.

In addition to Albany's basketball game at Duke, the school's field hockey team will not play games at North Carolina and Duke that had been previously scheduled.

The NY Gov is reaching votes.

How will Duke Basketball survive?

Seriously, this hurts Albany much more than it hurts Duke.

Gonzaga and St Marys both on the top 5 lines. He's predicting a very strong year for mid-majors. Interesting, schedules haven't even come out yet for the most part.

So what happens if Albany makes the NCAAT and they get placed in a bracket in North Carolina? Are they going to forfeit?
