First off, doubtful Tate can go from offensive systems like Houston's and Cleveland's to something like Norv. Turners without expecting a learning curve of some sort.
However, I would absolutely go grab him if available. McKinnon has been okay, but they obviously still don't trust him given Asiata's usage and, more importantly, the Tate claim. Maybe not start worthy this week, but won't take long, imho

Any other thoughts, opinion?

I don't know how startworthy Tate will be, but McKinnon is less startworthy than he was yesterday.

Bums me out as a Mckinnon owner in my dynasty league. It was bad enough with the plodder stealing his touches now he has Tate as well. Has to be the writing on the wall that AP will never play for the Vikings again?

I'd say that's probably true. . Although it also tells me they were fully intending on bringing him back this year if able. If they were really prepared to go with Plodder/McKinnon, regardless of the AP deal, I don't think they'd have made this move.

Gonna take at least a week or two for Tate to get used to Norv's way. McKinnon hasn't been worth starting the past couple of weeks anyway, but I was still holding out hope for him.

I don't care how diplomatic Vikes management is being, AP is gone next year. Not to mention the fact that he does not want to be there. He wants to be a Cowboy.

I picked up Blount in one league. I think he's the loose cannon to own. Even though he cleared waivers, the guy is a battering ram. He produces. An NFL team with a need at RB would be stupid to not go after him.

The guy must be a headcase though.

Asiata and McKinnon being too hurt to practice might have something to do with the Tae pickup, too.

If AP did not want to be in Minnesota, why did he sign the new contract in 2012? Wouldn't he have just let his contract run out and test free agency in 2012?
