He is probably happier tonight.

Weird game. Overall I think the Habs played well, but some of the mistakes they made were terrible. I don't really blame Price too much.

The OT had me worried. I liked how the Habs were playing and it always seems like in OT when one team has a lot of chances then the other gets one break and scores. I have to get up far too early for it to have gone to the 2nd OT. Friday they can play all night, but tonight glad it ended in the 1st.

I hope Stamkos gets stuck in traffic for game 2. He's awesome.

It was a weird one. I saw the comments that it was like watching junior hockey. So many defensive mistakes

For as badly outshot tbay were, id like to see what the stats nerd mafias final scoring chances were

Seemed like all of tbays chances were grade a humdingers

I remember the Habs had one in overtime where Pacioretty had a gaping hole at the net and flubbed the shot, I would have sworn I thought it was over before he got the puck

I really do hate Briere. Just one of those guys that magically becomes super human in the postseason. Averages just over a point per game in the postseason. Ridiculous.

DarrenDreger: Postgame, Dale Weise talked about opportunity he's been given by Therrien. Said he doesn't think Torts believes in 4th liners in Van.

That's not true, look what he did with Prust, without us, Prust would have been a no-name, 4 minute a game 4th line player. Torts loves his 4th liners, some of them were his best players, he gets the most from them. Did with Boyle and Prust, that's for sure. Weise just might not have played the 4th line style that Tortorella liked. Can't tell you if he did or didn't, since I only watched a handful of Canucks games.

lol, I cannot say how Torts uses 4th liners, but usually I think Therrien utilizes them horribly.

Dreger might have worded that tweet badly, who knows, but what I do know if that Torts was playing the top six forwards in Vancouver a ton at the expense of the 3rd and 4th line guys. The scoring dried up in Vancouver and Torts probably thought that was the only way he could win hockey games.

Probably what he did. It's the same way he was coaching here and it wasn't working, either.
