I hate the Chiefs but Mahomes is a special person, not just a player....
A few weeks ago, he was eating with his girlfriend at a pizza place near his home in KC....Obviously everybody there recognized him but they let them eat their meal in peace.

They paid their bill and headed to leave. Still, nobody asked for a selfie or autograph, Mahomes stopped at the door, everybody looked up.....Mahomes turned and said, "Thanks for letting us enjoy our dinner. This is why I love Kansas City. You guys are awesome."

After he and Brittany left, it was revealed he and Brittany had paid for everybody's meal.

saw that story before, but it's still a cool one...
